So I found a HKS cone filter attachment in the Junk Yard
I was just looking at some FC's in the JY and found a plastic Mushroom Filter Assembly on a FC. The filter was long gone, there wasnt even a torn up old filter or anything.
So I paid $3 for the silicone fitting and the plastic cone assembly with the mounting brackets. Where can I get a replacement Mushroom filter? Is this a good find or am I just excited to have something made by HKS? I know its HKS because It says HKS Corp. on the back side. If there is any confussion about what Im talking baout Ill take a pic when I get home. Thanks guys |
they dont filter worth a shit. infact, put some panty hose and it will probobly be better.

So it was never sold with a filter on it?

You'll be much better off to use that fitting to mount up a K&N Cone filter, but in order for that to work effectivly, you'll have to hack together a new airbox and some ducting to feed it.

Don't mind the bad comments. :)
It might not filter as well as some of the other alternatives, but it does an alright job for its size. Replacement elements are sold from anyone selling HKS parts. They are usually about $30 for each replacement foam (circle) element. You can also check out eBay for cheaper deals. -Ted |
