So apparently my turbo is dead...
 

So yesterday I noticed that my boost gauge is no longer working. The day before it was working fine and there were no problems. I have not redlined the car in the past few days and haven't really driven a lot either(only to and from work). I just read a thread that said if it wasn't working, then the turbo is most likely shot. Is there a way to tell otherwise? I checked for smoking and there is none. It is hard to hear the engine when driving because of the rear hub bearing.
Another problem that has started to occur is a constant buzzing and the add coolant light comes on and off. (I searched about it already) and I have already added coolant and it still comes on. It seems there are problems coming out of no where everyday.
Now, if the turbo is shot, what would be the better choice, getting a better one, fixing it, or getting a new stock one. If I was to get a better one, what would be the best choice, and what other mods would I need so I wouldn't run into any problems? I would like to get a nice one but don't have that much money to drop at the time. The only mods done to the car are 720cc secondary injectors.

why would a broken boostgauge mean a dead turbo?

does the car feel like u have a dead turbo? also chek ur coolant level sensore (the one rite on top of the radiator)

Yeah that doesn't make any sense. You should be able to tell if the turbo is dead just by driving the car.

Does it smoke at all?

There is no smoke. The only reason I mentioned the boost gauge is because while trying to find a thread that was possibly helpful, I stumbled across one where they were talking about the boost gauge not working. Also, all the other gauges work fine, but the boost gauge does not boost. And it still feels like the turbo is working (at least to me it does).

It's most likely fine.

What would be the cause of the boost gauge suddenly not working? Faulty wires, something loose? I have never pulled apart or worked on my car before because it is my daily driver and if I screw something up, I am out a vehicle.

Mine doesn't work either... who knows? The stock boost gauge sucks anyway, get an aftermarket one, they are pretty cheap.

What would be a good one to pick? I was reading a thread earlier that had a lot of mixed opinions on the autometers. Also would I want a mechanical or electric? And just a boost gauge, or a boost/vacuum, or both a boost and a vacuum?
