It has more potential of pulling more air but it actually pulls very little most of the time. At idle, it would pull around 600-800 CFM

And if your temps go up, you can tap your foot and bang it's at something ridiculous like 3500 like that.

The benefit of the clutch fan is the efficiency of it and the fact that it has a lot more power behind it when it needs it since it varies its power consumption. It can take a lot more power to move the same amount of CFM the e-fan can but at the same time, in high static pressure situations, the clutch fan will win hands down.

The electric fan, if the static pressure gets to high, the amount of CFM that it can move can deminish greatly because it has one speed and one speed only.

Hmmmm, I didn't comment before because (1) what's my opinion worth anyways :) and (2) because I commend these guys for trying and thought the price was o.k. since it includes the fan.

I haven't seen version 1, btw. Version 2.0 looks very nice in the sense that it takes minimal room. Having said this, some room should be sacrificed for the sake of airflow. As mentioned, it should be deeper and be tapered for better airflow. The flat main surface should also be dimpled or have ribs for added strength and less flex (kind of when you wave a sheet of steel), but I don't know how thick the material is so this may not be applicable. It should also be a straight drop in and have all the holes for the screws and/or plastic snaps, if you know what I mean. This shroud could also be made of aluminum. As far as incorporating 45 deg. bends, that shouldn't be too bad once prototyped and using jigs for production.

I'm looking forward to future designs, although I can only justify going electric for the sake of engine room/cleanliness. The stock setup works more than adequately for my minor modifications. Then again, this thing will sell mostly to people based on look other than necessity.

Version one was thicker, I don't know how thick but it looked about 1.5-2". The corners near the IN and OUT tubes were cut off leaving gaps in the shroud.

I think the price is fine to and I like how sneeds take the time in making well built shrouds. No matter what anyone builds, there will always be something wrong with it :) haha. Someone will point out something that could always be better.
