Small trouble installing brake master cylinder.

I’m replacing my brake master cylinder as my old one is leaking. The only thing I’m having trouble with is just bolting it back up to the booster. When the cylinder is on the studs there isn’t enough room between the proportioning bypass valve and the stud itself to get the bolt back on. Has anyone else run into this problem? I’d really like to be able to get it bolted up without taking the valve off, or is that just part of the reinstall?

If you take out the mounting bolt for the prop valve, you can push it gently aside and wiggle the master cylinder in. The prop valve will still be held more or less in place by the lines, then you can put the bolt back after.

Just don't loosen the brake line fittings if you can avoid it.
