slow--hesitating start

Hello, I'm need to the RX7 family ... I bought a 91 convertible yesterday, and it is slow/hesitating starting .... with my limited knowledge, I believe it is a starter problem. How difficult is it to change the starter (is it accessible from the bottom... the ole' two bolt starter)? And, will a simple AutoZone starter last?

Any comments will be greatly appreciated ....

What do you mean by slow/hesitating starting? Simply that it cranks slowly? Or does it crank normally just not start/refuses to start? Give a little more info and we can probably help you better. Describe exactly what happens as best you can (without writing a thesis)

I would check the resisten on the coolent temp senser in the back of the water pump housing. I changed mind and it made a huge difference on start up. Also cleaning the throttor body helps too!

check your battery charge and connections.

Thanks.

SonicRat, when I attempt to start the car, the engine turns over some, but it does not "fire" up immediately. So, I will attempt to start ... then, when I try again, it normally starts.

Also, I was reading a few posts last night and I came across this "unflooding" thing. Will someone briefly explain how to prevent this from happening in the first place?
