sleepy headlights
 

on an 87 fc how do you get sleepy headlight is it a kit or something you can do like on fds if anyone knows will you please let me know by posting

just pull the fuse for the retractors in the engine bay, then spin the knobs, they are under the car, directly under the headlights

1. Pull the retractor fuse in the engine bay.
2. Go inside and turn your headlights on.
3. Go back to the engine bay and lightly tap the retractor fuse so it makes a connection again.
4. The headlights will move upward.
5. Pull the fuse out before the headlights reach the top.
6. If they got too high, repeat the process over again, insert the fuse, turn off the headlights, pull the fuse, turn the headlights on.

It doesnt look as good as the 240's. Don't try driving at night w/ the sleepy look. The headlights are blocked by the top side of the bumper. Cant see worth crap.

Will any of these methods drain the battery, or will both ways drain it? I know people that have done this before and it drained the battery, but i'm not sure which way they did it.

If you want lower headlights try getting a slimmer lamp unit so that you don't drive around with half the light you NEED(stock stuff is already low illumination). Also be aware that there are lamp height laws that must be followed in most states. Don't do it the ghetto way and make your car look stupid.

I have a few headlight controllers (brand new in box)for sale in the classified section. theyre $50 shipped. they wire to the motors and allow you to adjust the height. Once you set them they will automatically return to the same height each time you turn your lights on. Or you can just turn them all the way up for a stock specs. fc drifter's way is somewhat complicated...and you might end up blowing the fuse. now you can try playin with the head light switch *the one that raises and closes them*. but its just better if you pull the fuse and spin the knobs like Antirice said.

you should go with the controller it makes everything alot easier and if you get pulled over for it you can just flip the switch and make them go back to stock

Sleepy look = lame... I'm surprised this isnt locked yet.
