size of n/a transmission?
does anyone know if an n/a tranny can fit in the rear of a 2+2 with the seats upright? or does anyone know the apporximate measurements of it, because i could just go and see for myself. thanks.

If you mean the rear hatch area then, yes, it can fit in there with no problem.

what's my best bet for securing it safely?

You could use the tie straps in the hatch to secure it somehow. Or make a little "V" out of some wood to cradle the rear of the transmission. Also, driving easily and not taking curves at 80 MPH helps a lot. :)

alright, that sounds good. i forgot about those tie straps! i was also thinking maybe to tie a rope aound each end and run them out the back of the hatch and down under the car to the rear tow hooks. i know there's not much you can do to stop that much weight if you hit something, so i'm more or less just going to try to keep it from messing things up in the rear if i have to hit the brakes hard or something.
and yeah, i'll probably drive pretty easily haha. thanks for the help. |
