Simple Idle Question

I just installed a K&N filtercharger kit, and its running great when driven. The only "problem" is an increase in the idle. The car now seems to idle at 1100rpm, while before the installation it idled at 750. Any common mistake i could have made that messed with the idle? Anything I could have bumped in the MAF? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Vac leak maybe? Did you attach everything tightly?

Yah, I'd say it's a vac leak, otherwise just doing an intake and not touching anything else (or did you?) shouldn't cause an idle change unless there's now a leak.

i dunno, i think a vac leak would decrease the idle speed and cause bogging. Check your TPS maybe.

Try taking off a capped vac nipple or a vac line, your idle will increase. At least it always has for me..

well i also attached a little breather filter to the air pump hose, im pretty sure its secure. there were no vac lines to mess with..? i dont recall any, at least. its an 87 SE. but ill recheck the connections and see if i missed anything.. thanks guys.
