Simple Engine Question
Really simple, I want to clean up my engine while it is apart. I want to know if it's safe to take it to the pressure-washer @ the car wash. I know that you can't use some abrasives on the chromium in the housings, I just want to know if it's safe to do without damaging the housings.

Ok... it's not a hard question.
Would the "Engine Cleaner" at a car wash hurt the Chromium on the rotor housings? |
it should be fine. try not to get any electrical components wet though
|
Not a real problem, engine's out of the car, and in peices. Thanks a lot, I'm getting work done tomorrow, and don't want to deal with the hassle of "cleaning charges". Also, I don't want to get my friend's FC dirty. :D Really, thanks.

Uh, how are you going to actually access in insides of the rotor housings where the chromium layer is at...
That's some serious STRONG pressure washing! -Ted |
