side skirt install Q

Those who have their side skirt installed, what did you use to install them??
The part is the front since it's not flush to the body and need something to keep it attached.

Don't say cement glue. :icon_tdow
Looking for a few suggestions.

If you're referring to the OEM side skirts, the front fender of the TII is designed to receive the front part of the skirt. The bottom of the fender in that area is different from the non-TII fender. It has holes where the side strip is usually located for the clips on the skirt part to fit into. In addition, a double sticky tape and press-on fasteners are used to keep the other part of the component in place. See the attached images.

make sure you take the small screw and plastic clip out before you install.. its on the inner side of the front piece

3mm tape works well and some screws and bolts for install

Use 3M tape and you will be fine.

Iv got gp style side skirts and even using 3m tape they dont wanna stay flush with the body, they keep popping out. I've got screws holding them on from inside the fenders but I would rather not drill any holes for the outside. Is there a certain "extra strength" 3m tape that I'm missing?

You could use adhesive promoter to apply more sticky stuff to the surfaces where you apply the 3M. I have that problem with my aftermarket sideskirt right now. It is very helpful to use a torch to heat up the kit so it becomes more malleable and cools off in the position you want it. It's worth it once you see your sideskirt HellaFlush i guess. haha

i tried adhesive promoter aswell, but I'm gonna re-apply the 3m with a ton of promoter and see how that goes.
