should I lose the stickers
should i lose my gxl stickers for a cleaner look or does anyone feel that this should remain part of the car. kind of a dumb question but i thought i would get some feedback..

Yes. I am all for the Beautify America Campaign.
Go to your garage and REMOVE all alphanumeric badges from all cars, IMMEDIATELY. http://photos.netclubs.com/live/phot...1krde8g/99.jpg I really don't need to or want to know that you are driving a Hyundai XGT3000 LSE VTEC AWD etc:D |
Good luck getting them off. I had to sand mine off (the car was being repainted anyway)

Leave them on. Tell the world what your car really is. :)

If you mean "lose the RX7 insignia", NO, i dont see the point...
If you mean "lose all stickers that mention displacement, type, level of accessories etc, then by all means YES. They dont matter anyway....and they dont add any HP either :D |
i mean the gxl stickers on the sides and the plastic rx7 one on the back if i am gonna have rx7 i want it in something that looks nice other than clear plastic. oh and i have already removed my "horsepower" stickers.

oh yeah,
the black mazda insignia on the rear of my car is faded. is there another symbol or something i can use to fill the holes that it fits in. Justin |
Personally, I like sports cars to have as clean a look as possible. The only thing I would leave on it the the emblem usede from 93-96. I think that is the best-looking Mazda emblem out there. Bleow that, i prefer the 97-up emblem to the old "mazDa" plates. I also like the Effini emblem, as well as the Infini sticker. Either of those three, IMO, cleans up the look of the car, yet still identifying it as a Mazda, without the obvious name tag. IMO, the time for manufacturer name plates vanished with the 80's.
Of course, if you have an 89-91 front bumper, there's no hiding the fact that it's a "mazDa" due to its embossing. I think I've seen people sand this down, however. It would have been lots easier had the embossing been done from the outside (indention) instead of the inside (relief), as then it could just be filled in. But then again, why remove them. In fact, you should probably add more. Remember, each sticker of non-existant equipment adds AT LEAST 5hp. At least, that's how I voted... :D Ren |
hey ren,
you and I think too much alike.......:D Justin |

you only need this ONE sticker :D
i had an RE Amemiya badge i was going to put on my car somewhere, but chucked it in favour of the "subtle minimalism" of one sticker. got it from ebay for $10 or so, and was worth every penny! :lol don't like the stock badging & stickers, they make the car look its age, my vote goes on losing the stock ensignia, yet replacing it with your own taste in modernissimo. |

Yeah man.....
Lose em, i took them off of my 88 gxl and it really cleaned it up. I think i may have actually lost about 20 horses from taking them off though....oh well. I tried to post a pic of my rex but i am a retard. The only thing i have on mine is the RX-& emblem on the rear driver's side. Go for it |
No Stickers...
I haven't a sticker... or decal, only holes where it was...
