should i buy a parts car?
its an 87 NA Auto (mines a 88 NA Manual)
the whole thing is $400 everything is well intact, but its been sitting for a LONG time and i doubt it runs my problem is: -is having a complete list of back-up parts really worth it if they are just as old and the ones i have? -and where will I store it?? EDIT: if some one wants to go in on it and store it, im willing |
search for a s5 parts car.
thats if.. u wanna do a s5 conversion and part out the rest. -jimmy |
I'd get it if your car is your daily driver. It's nice to have extra parts lying around that you can put on right away just in case something breaks.
You can store it in your yard. Put it up on blocks. Sure, it's not the best way, but if you don't care about the outside, it'll work. You can always get a cover for it too. |
Are you an RX-7 guy? If yes, then obviously you need a few parts cars. I have a handful of cars up on the parents farm. Outta sight outta mind says ma. Keep them where I can't see them.

its always worth it to have a parts car. there's always that small part or that one bolt or nut you need and it'll take a week from the dealer and costs your first born. also, you can sell the parts off as you need to or give a few away to help another broke RX-7 owner. a friend in need is a friend indeed. i have a 1st gen parts car that has already paid for itself and i have a HUGE amount of pars left.

parts cars are ALWAYS worth it.
just part it out, keep what you want and sell the rest on here. People are always in need of parts for their cars, so you will probably end up making back at least what you paid for the car and on top of that you'll help people out! It's a win-win situation. |
i bought a parts car an it was the best thing i ever did i would strongly advise to get one yourself
|
But where to keep it? I still live at home and the family has 4 cars already.
|
Park it in front of the neighbor's house.
