i wouldn't care if it had 0 miles on it, I would't spend almost 9k for a 88 fc n/a

(Edit for sig violation...Max size is 460 x 200 @ 20K. Please change it...Feeling too lazy to send this in a PM)

I hate to agree with an FD owner, but he is about 100% correct. That price is WAAAAAAY out of line.

hahaha, I was originally a FB owner, why does me owing a FD mean anything? I bought it with my own blood sweat and tears and paid for it in cash.

It probably hasnt been started in years, so you never know what kind of rubber has dry-rotted and what not. Even with miles that low theres no way I'd pay that much unless I was another collector who wasnt going to drive it. To buy that thing and throw some basic mods on it would be a total waste. And at that price you could almost get and FD.

Just figured I would give you a little hasslin.. You know, the ongoing feud between FD owners and the rest of us "little people".

Next time I will make more liberal use of smilies.

Yea the price is a bit steep. Its pretty easy to find a clean mint condition vert with decently low mileage for 5k or less. Mine has 99k on it and its show quality and i paid 4k for it originally. But i have done quite a bit to clean it up some more though and a bit of maintenance to it which is just what any 17 year old car will require. Offer him less for it if ur dead set on that one. No one in their right mind will pay that much for it so he will probably end up selling it to you for a lower price.

that car is only worth:
dealer trade in:$2,290
Private party sale:$3,108
Dealer retail: $4,502

dont you love it when people try to sell a car like that for that much...

i recently ran into an '86 gxl w/ 106k miles and no rust and the guy wanted $6500 for it... i wrote him in email with the kbb link in it... and he wrote me one back saying that the cars flawless w/new paint and its rare...

what an idiot

Actually with the numbers I put up from edwards (better than KBB- more accurate), I put in flawless as condition (although I doubt the car really is)

I saw a 280Z once...it was nice, I was interested, so I called the used car dealer shop and told me 3gs for it....I laughed at him and asked if he was really serious especially with how many miles he told me(cant remember now 100+) and he hung up on me.
