Short Shifter design?
I am going to machine myself an aluminum short shifter at work. The engineer just wants a picture of the one I want, and my stock shifter to get all sizes, lengths, etc off of.
My question is, does the shifter need to have a bend in it? Or can I basically just add length in between the small ball on the end and the main ball with the notch in it? Or would I be better off imitating the design of the C's shifter or some other? Thanks in Advance, Fikshun |
you need a spacer to raise the bushings, and a new fulcrum notch type thing

Yeah, I already knew all that. That will be the super easy part. I just want to know if I should put a bend in the shifter or can I leave it as one straight piece.
Is there a benefit to angling the shifter? Fikshun |
HIGGI IS making/selling Short Shifters. You may want to PM for his setup.

Right on, I might just take in a pic of the MazdaSpeed shifter and have him machine one out similar to that.
Thanks, Fikshun |
