Shifter help

Of course all fcs have common issue that the shifter bushings go bad so you replace them but when I pulled out shifter it was bone dry ○_●.. what kind of oil should I add in there?

add the oil that the transmission uses.(like 85W90 or any synthethic that you like to use as a gear oil)

You only need enough to cover the Block inside that hole..just enough to lubricate the parts in there.
It is a Separate part of the Trans So it will not leak into the Main part of the trans. Some guys have attempted to fill the trans through the shifter hole..
.................They are still waiting for the trans to fill up.......................LOL!

Actually, you can use lithium grease in the shifter tower. It's not connected to the transmission and they tend to leak. Mine leaks badly when I put gear oil in it. The grease stays on the shifter components and lubrication is not lost.

Grease sounds like a way better idea actually. Thanks!

The Mazdatrix Video for installing a short shifter shows using Gear Oil like Misterstyx69 says.
