Secondary injectors problems

Well I'm about 50 miles on my rebuild and well drives good in low rpms then I get to 3500-4000 rpm and it lags like hell unless i really ease into it. so I pulled my upper intake to check my ecu ground and clean it up. I then notice I had gas leaking from the rear secondairy I pulled it off and the o rings look fine and my fuel rail was torqued down to specs so its gotta be the o rings. So I'm gonna order some new ones from Atkins right now. do u think that could be a reason to y it's lagging like that or should I look more into the grounds or wat should I look for?

S4? Twin scroll?

boostkeepsmesane7 12-03-11 10:00 PM

It's a s4 turbo II swap street ported the rest stock except my turbo manifold dosnt have the twinn scroll dealeo

AGreen 12-04-11 08:01 AM

You should have kept the twin scroll dealeo.

Already answered this issue in another section, is everyone gonna just ignore the fact that it lags when the secondaries kick on and it happens to have a fuel leak from the secondary rail?!? I highly doubt the turbo and the tps that he has been told are the issue are gonna fix this.

The leak is not in any way the problem. Also it could have been the body of the injector leaking.

Rx-7fetish 12-04-11 12:54 PM

Depends on how bad his leak is, if the computer is expecting more fuel when it gets to that rpm and it ain't getting it, it's gonna lag, also the fuel pressure across all injectors is gonna drop. If he eases into it that's helping stabilize the pressure somewhat and not feel the lag as bad. The leak is a KNOWN issue. He needs to get that fixed. On top of this if you have a leak and you suspect that to be the culprit, a fuel leak is something that NEEDS to be fixed regardless. Fix it see if it's better if not at least your car won't burst into flames out of nowhere.

if it's leaking fuel through the body then it most certainly is an issue that needs to be addressed and could be the root of the issue.

Fix your leak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

boostkeepsmesane7 12-04-11 03:08 PM

Im working on it! lol i hope its not leaking through the body that would sucks my emissions harness is all Fucked up got random wires that arnt going no where and where never apart of the harness in the first place. so i just ordered a new one and i have a extra n333 ecu and all brand new 550cc injectors just layin around with out the pintel caps so i order all new orings and pintal caps. So when that all gets here im gonna try those injectors and ecu out if the ones i have on right now keep doing the same thing. Right now i have 550 primary and 720 secondarys on a n332 ecu.

ur welcome

i suppose you didn't get the hint then..

before posting a thread you should always:

1) list your series of car
2) give pertainent information of the issue you're asking questions about
and most importantly
3) any modifications to the car that may help diagnose the issue.

you can't toss in larger injectors with the stock ECU and think it will all be copasetic.

Rx-7fetish 12-04-11 04:47 PM

^this

The stock ecu can't cope with larger injectors, fuel leak plus larger injectors are your problem. This isn't a muscle car, it's a small high tolerance rotary, small changes make huge differences, most of the time for the worse.

HAILERS2 12-05-11 05:49 AM

Like the above mentioned. The 720 are your problem. By problem I mean the hesitation/lag. I assume you and anybody else would know that a leaking o'ring wouldn't cause lag/hesitation. Maybe a engine fire but not the hesitation.

By "leak" I assume a very small wetting, not a gusher, and who would drive with it gushing out the 'o'ring? Nobody. And I assumed from the start that the 'leak" was external not internal (as in leaking injector vs leaking 'o" ring.
