most of the time when free revving an engine it is at or near full open throttle, which results in near zero manifold pressure in n/a or turbo engines which the ECU sees as load. if it hits a wall at 3800RPMs you most likely have the throttle wide open to try and see if it will push further anyhow, which results in 0 manifold pressure.

my point is moot though, to test the injectors you need to remove them and test them in the primary slot and also test the wiring as well you can install a test wire to each secondary to see if they are coming on or not or test at the ECU.

Seriously man, that's a bit harsh. I don't think I'm clueless, nor do I think I deserved that.

my TII did something like this once but at around 2500 rpms. The injectors where fine, the wiring was fine. Turned out the fuel pump was starting to die so it thought pumping adaquate fuel amounts was unnessacary. That was the cause of my problem. it *MAY* be a coicencidence that yours is at 3800, regardless of the what the secondary injectors are doing.

Yeah, I shouldn't have written that. There was no merit in writing that.

But I can go rev the engine in any of my cars WITH the boost/pressure sensor connected up (and everything else) and whether watching the secondarys on a meter or on a RTEK2.0 using a Palm, and the secondarys won't come online.

If someone was to remove the boost/pressure sensors vac line and cap it, then *free rev* slowly up to the approx 3800 rpm , when you get there, the rpms will burrble, rise fall, act funny and you won't be laughing, until you apply more pedal and get above that range. At least that's the way my turbo and non turbo cars act.
