Seat Removal
What is the easiest way to remove the seat, because I want to try and fit some audio equipment under the seat? It looks like the whole seat could be removed by the 4 bolts that hold the seat rails to the car or is there an easy way to remove the seat cushion from the seat rails?
Thanks |
You can easily remove a seat in a couple minutes, and takes no more than a couple minutes to replace the seat. I think you will find it harder to try and remove the cushion rather than removing the entire seat.
4 bolts on the seat rail. Each corner of the seat. Slide the seat back and you can see the two bolts in front. Slide the seat all the way forward and you can see the 2 bolts in the rear. The two bolts on the inside of the seat may be covered by a patch of carpet. Should be able to un-velcrow it and see the bolt. |
yah seats are easy to remove and once removed there are just 2 10mm bolts holding the seat rails to the actual seat itself. Make sure when removing the seat rails to pay attention to how you took them off so you can put them back on with no problem.

Thanks for the help

In Arizona, rust should not be an issue. But if you see ANY rust on the bolts, do yourself a favour and use an impact wrench. Fixing a seat bolt hole is a major pain.

I doubt that you will be able to fit much of anything under the seat.
