Just because I love turbo convertibles more than any other RX-7, I will help you with whatever you need.

First off, do you know if you are going to do s4 or s5 convertible? What series is your current car?

Here is one link I have already found that may help out: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...=tii+vert+swap

if you want to do it as fast as possible, you will want to find the 'vert of the same series. I did this S4 to S4, but went with a Megasquirt stand-alone, so I can help you a bit, just not too much on the ECU side.

For the S4, keep the harness thats in the car, since more wires would need to be swapped going from turbo emissions harness to NA body harness than from NA emissions harness to turbo ECU. This way you also ensure that any options on the vert that werent on your car all have plugs, and you wont lose the alternator plug (on the engine harness for turbos, on the emissions harness for NA's). It isnt quite plug and play, but its close. There are a couple wiring differences that can be found in the FSM under the emissions control sections for NA and turbo, in the part with the ECU pin-out. These may not be a problem, but as long as you're proficient with a wiring diagram and soldering iron, anythings possible. Everything will bolt in place without a problem, and you can use the coils and radiator from the vert. You will need to swap over all the sensors like the pressure sensor and the AFM.

For the S5, I think its mostly plug and play, altho you need to swap some of the sensors. I havent done this one tho, so I dont know for certain.

Check out Kevin Landers' webside, it has a lot of useful information on this subject.

i want everything s4 just to make it easiest... as far as brakes and suspension. what can i swap?

and please. i need a write up...i couldnt find one in kevins sight?

you dont need to swap anything for brakes, all verts had the 5-lug suspension and turbo 4-pot brakes. For suspension i guess you could swap over the turbo spring/strut assemblies, I know all the mounting points are the same, im just not sure if its worth the effort for the stock stuff.

Edit: Oh, and for a write-up, just follow any of the NA=>turbo swap write-ups that are floating around, the one for the S4 in the link above is a good one. There are a few small wiring differences for the convertible, but they mostly come down to a few wire colors, and if you use the wiring harness already in the car it will make it simpler.
