s5 Vert power antenna....
Hello, I did a search and really couldn't find anything that would help me, but I'm sure someone will post a link to what I need.
Anyway, I can't get my PA to work, I did notice that when I installed a new Alpine(there was no stereo in the car)stereo, there were 2 ant cables. One was a female and the other the typical male end. Of course I used the male end because that's what the Alpine required. Do I need to use both of those antenna connectors? I did find a thread that shows how to test the antenna to see if it works and I'll try that shortly. I can't get any stations because of the antenna being down. |
Oh our cars are old lol, so the relay of the wiring is revered the antenna is pushing positive out to your deck so and your deck acts as a negative with the black wire.
All I did was I installed a switch, flipped it on if im using the radio and when im not flip it off. I will record a small vid or take some pics to show you. thats unless you don't want to do what I did. your car still has it old wiring right? Be prepared in the process you might blow a 7.5 or 5 fuse no biggie |
