S5 shifters and shiftknob
 

my friend was going to give me his shiftknob off his 91 something. i was wondering if all S5 shifters with fit all S5 shiftknobs?

and i would be putting it in the tranny from a 87 base

yes, s5 shift knobs will fit on all s5 shifters, but s4 and s5 knobs are not swappable, the rods have a different thread pitch.

how much should i buy a S5 shifter for?

I sold mine for $20 or $30 I think... shouldn't cost much.
