s5 and s4 starter
 

will a s5 t2 starter work on my s4t2? Sorry i know dumb question but my starter went out and i gotta chance to buy a good starter for 40 bucks.

I didn't think there were any differences, however to make sure, go call your local auto parts store and tell them that you don't know what year you have, its either a 88 or 89 and ask if there is a different starter P/N.

S4 TII per the Parts Fiche is N318-18-400R.
S5 TII per the Parts Fiche is N318-18-400A.

I would Say they are the same not sure what the final letter means....

i did research this it seems they have the same bolt patern as well as the armature the s5 just spins quicker to try and reduce flooding (same problem the rx8 is having)
