s5 na on s4 na electronics??

im planning on getting my s4 88 goin again. ive been trying to find a s4 , but I found a s5 block, can I run a s5 engine with a full s4 eletronics??

I understand things like omp will go premix.. and can I use s4 manifolds on a s5??

Yes, correct, and not sure about the manifolds but you can use the s5 intake manifold with a s4 TB if you're worried about the TPS.

Yes you can, I had s5 block with s4 electronics on my 88 se. But I was turbo. Just remember you need s5 flywheel.

You can swap the front cover to S4 instead of running premix..

If you use the S5 manifolds, and want the OMP you'll need to re-bend the OMP rod. And decide on a way of activating the 5th/6th ports and VDI [3600 and 5500 RPM respectively] there's a writeup on here for using RPM switches and a couple solenoids from the rats' nest.

even if you changed the front cover to s4 it would still be better for the engine in general to premix. its better for the apex seals

It's a little bit better, but I don't imagine hugely better for a street driven car.. Otherwise the engine wouldn't last as long as it does from the factory.

But it is a huge amount more work - and you can't let anyone borrow your car and fill it up [Unless they know what they're doing with a bottle of 2-stroke..]
