S5 auto seat belts
 

is it possible to put the normal manual seatbelt in an s5 equipped with the goofy automatic ones???

yes u will need the s4 belts , the interior panels , a-pillers, the recieving buckle , and some other things

basically in the end u end up switching all the interior for s4 minus the dash and carpet.

and u will also have holes in your carpet if u dont change it as well and u will have to cut off the brackets to get the panels to fit flush

hmmm maybe they arent so bad after all....

im doing the swap right now but only because i already had the s4 parts car

its actually a big pain because of all the little tidbits u need plus u end up wiht a big gap on the side of the rear bins if u keep the s5 bins aswell.

Yes, it's doable and actually easier if you keep all your original panels.
Basically,none of the S4 panels will fit right on, so you'll spend more time on them than actually replacing the belts.

All of the belt hardware is a direct bolt in.
A hole for the upper pivot will need to be placed in the upper b-pillar sail panel.
A relief for the belt itself needs to be made in the lower b-pillar panel.
These two mods are the most time consuming part of the project.

The a-pillar trim used to be snapped into the mouse rail-which you've now removed- but mine stays in place without it, more or less a friction fit.

There will be some exposed metal under the center console where you remove the inertial reel assembly...I just used some spare carpet to scab in a piece and it's hardly noticeable.
