S5 6 port with Weber ida aux ports
 

So I have a 6 port 13b with a Weber ida setup and when I first did the carb swap I didn't fully understand the auxiliary ports. After losing compression in rotor 2 I got it apart to start to do a rebuild and realized that the aux port actuators were set opposite (one open one closed). With the ida setup there is no way you can have them open and close how they should because the intake manifold can't use the actuators (obviously). My question is do I block them off or should I leave them open? I know this question has Been discussed many times but I can't find anything about what to do with an ida setup. Any info on what to do will help

Most people just take them out but then complain about the loss of low end torque. They even do this on the stock intake setup. You could try loctiting them into position of say, a large street port or TII port closing to see if you could find a good balance. IIRC, the 9P close is the same as a P-port.

The auxiliary ports should work just fine with the split air pipe intact. If you must remove them use Pineapple inserts or use an RPM switch.

I took mine out completely and no complaints here, and I am running a fairly stock set up, I say pull them out and forget about them.
low end torque and rotary in the same sentence (HA) seriously though most of the time they do not work correctly or its a pain to get
them working correctly.
