LOL!
I beat you to it...:p:

I think hes trying to say that he wants the his engine bay (pic #1) to look like pic #2.

Ichiban 08-01-02 09:47 AM

sort of i just dont like the intake on the engine

ive been told its a s5 6 port but it just dont seem to me to be right

but i wount have a friggin clue

i want the engine bay to looks neat and everything will be polished so it mustnt have that abomination on the top to ruin it

so i was thinking of useng a 13bt one but ive been told it wont fit at all...

so im stuck on ideas how to fix the problem

Ichiban 08-01-02 09:48 AM

also a 12at or if all else 13bt are other options

12at prefered becase its of same capacity

Rxmfn7 08-01-02 09:52 AM

i cant really tell what series engine is in the yellow car, being that it has an aftermarket intake on it. A 13BT can be "made"to fit, no easier or harder that a s5 N/A engine I wouldnt think. (still difficult and time-consuming, lots of custom fabbing.) Just spend a few days cleaning your engine bay, polishing things up, making the hoses look neat and not like a rats nest, maybe colored hoses. See if your happy with that. Dont do an engine swap cuz you dont like the way yours looks. :p:

Ichiban 08-01-02 09:59 AM

thats an rx4 engine with a bridgeport
but that was an example

i know i can make it look neat but the thing thall look bad id that big square hunk of (you know wot im saying)
of an intake manifold sorta thing

i hate the thing looks ugly

btw wot engine is in the first pic

hypntyz7 08-01-02 10:15 AM

The first pic you showed is of a 84-85 GSL-SE 13b 6 port engine, an s3.The first fuel injected 13b to come out in the US in a 7.

THe 89-91 s5 13b 6 port is similar to it indesign adn size.

THe picture you put below it is of an engine with an aftermarket carb intake. BEcause of this, there is no need for wiring, intake manifolds that snake up the top of the engine, etc. IF this is the level of cleanliness you are after, go for it...you cannot run an EFI engine that clean; in other words, you have to have all this "stuf" to make it work, and the stuff isnt always pretty.

As for the 13bt, all 13b blocks are the same size, so in theory it will fit. Actually, I know a few guys who already have this engine *in and running* in their 1gen. This engine is EFI as well, and more complicated than the 6 port nonturbo, therefore it might be less pretty due to more stuff hanging around.

You can make an EFI engine much simpler and prettier by running an aftermarket computer setup such as haltech, wolf, etc. This simplifies it a lot as well as increases power, but is expensive.

wot i was saying was
puting a motec ecu which is onew of the best for rotors

and using a 13bt intake manifold casue the 6 port one annoys me

the one in first the pic

btw i dont want that clean just imbetween ill find a pic and post it up

u have to admit that yellow rx2 does have a nice and tidy engine bay u guys have to admit its bloodyphat plu s a 13b with a extended bridgeport its gotta go hard

we sure do like to make them bays neat down here in the southers hemisphere

hehe

Ichiban 08-01-02 11:03 AM

im looking @ this sorta neatness

Wow, I can't believe I'm having such a hard time reading your posts. Try using proper english and correct spelling. I think I understand what you mean, but then again I'm not sure:confused:

That 'aftermarket' intake on the yellow car is a carb, and the difference between 1 and 2 is the difference between FI and Carb. All the shit under our hoods is to support EFI.
