s4 turbo to s5 turbo
 

what all needs to be done for this swap? I know the s5 had the high impedance injectors and electric oil metering system, but what else do i need to do?

S5 turbo and manifold, LIM, AFM, can't think of anything else right now, haven't had coffee yet.

can't i just switch thing over to the s4, like use the s4 afm thats already in the car and the injectors.

well let me tell ya the deal first, i'm probably buying a s4 turbo with a blown engine, and the guy has a s5 turbo engine standing by waiting to be put in. can i just use the s4 stuff on it?

you can use the smallblock S5 engine with all the other stuff (UIM, LIM, Sensors etc.) from S4 with some minnor modifications...

I did search, all I really found was s4 NA to s5 turbo engine stuff. I think I'll be able to handle it. Do I need to put the s4 front cover on the s5 engine though? And what about clutch stuff, do I need to swap counterweights and what not?

why would you need to switch front covers and counterweights?? just swap everything s4 onto the s5. but if you want to use the s5 turbo and manifold, it's easier to just use the s5 LIM.

for some reason i thought there was something mechanical on the s4 cover that need to be there with the rest of the s4's system. i also thought that s5 turbo's had different counterweights.

You're thinking of the OMP system. Its different on S4 and S5s. The one has mechanical (S4) the other is electric (S5) I think. Unless you swap the front cover from the S4 over to the S5, your OMP won't work and you'll have to premix.
