S4/S5 interior question

is there a difference between the S4 and S5 guage cluster surround? you know the big black plastic piece that goes around the guage cluster...

Yeah, the s5 is 'thinner' around the top IIRC. I'd search around in the 2nd gen FS section and see if you can find some interior/gauge cluster pics of an s4/s5 to see the difference.

Also, the knobs etc. are slightly different, but I'm not sure if you care about that. :)

huh, didnt know that. the problem is a friend bought my surround off me and the turn signal and cruise control arent flush. any way to fix that or anyone else have this problem?

There are somewhat major differences between the two series.

The flipper switches (cruise and turn/highbeam) are mounted entirly different and not interchangeable.

The S4 have visors over the openings, while S5 just have built up openings.

You can not use S5 turn signal and cruise control switches in a S4 surround and however you can mount a S4 cruise switch into a S5 surround (it just sticks back a little and looks funky). S4 and S5 turn signal switches are wired entirly different and not interchangeable.

that's weird because I got an S4 one for my S5 last summer and I switched everything onto it and it fit. The only reason I know it's S4 is because you say those have little visors.
