As the title states, is this an s4 or s5 13bt engine? The cluster in the car is from an s5 13bt, but I don't know if an s4 13bt can use s5 clusters.

quick glance to see if it has an electric OMP or a 3 bolt water filler neck at the Pump housing will tell you if it is S5.(that is if the guy didn't change the front)

it appears that that is an 89-90 non turbo car, so its a swap to start with.

the radiator is an S4, which is weird. the intake/alternator and water pump are S5.

need more pics to go any further. or even better the irons have a letter cast into them, and that tells you where it came from. the rotor housings should have knock sensor holes over the spark plugs

Thanks guys. The chassis is an 87 n/a with a 13bt swap. I just couldn't tell if it's an s4 or s5 13bt. Over all the car looks good and the guy is willing to sell it to me for $1500 with some DMV backfees. Clean title.

what I don't know is how do I tell if it has a turbo rear end like axles and diff? I know I can look for a sticker on the diff for LSD and that'll be a start.

do you guys think it is a good deal?
