S4 n/a tranny problem...

Ok guys out of all the years I've owned these things I've never had this kind of problem:

Car off, shift into gears with no problems...pump clutch with no problems.

Turn car on...pump clutch slowly and sometimes clutch will stay floored...

Put into 1st gear...sometimes when releasing the clutch (only about 1/4 to 1/2 inch off floor the clutch starts engaging and will die. Pedal will stay floored and I cant get out of first.

It does the same in reverse...

checked fluid and bushings on the short shifter and they are fine, shifter goes through gears no problem when off.

Bled the clutch fluid and its fine. Has great pressure when the car is off, once on it sticks to the floor in no apparent pattern.

any Ideas?

I will be pulling the tranny today, to check the throwout and clutch...Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks

Aside from just how the pedal feels, have you verified that the slave cylinder is pushing the fork? You can look at it and see while someone else is pushing the pedal.
