s4 fuel pump to s5 ?

would their be any draw backs in putting an s4 fuel pump in an s5 car? are they compatible?

I believe S4 and S5 NA fuel pump are the same.

And the S4 and S5 TII fuel pump are the same.

Just the fuel pump assemblies are different. The S5 is deeper due to the S5 fuel tank being larger/deeper. In other words, if you put a S4 assembly in an S5 tank, you engine will stop receiving fuel when there is still 2+ gallons in the tank.

One thing, I'm not sure if the mounting holes on an S4 assembly will line up with an S5 tank.

Otherwise, what funkjaw said.

you can use the pump itself, but not the Sender unit that the pump is on.
S4 and s5 sender assemblies are different and the hook up is different too(connector).

Flow ratings are different. S5 and S6 pumps are the same.
S4:
Maximum Free Flow Rate (gph): 55
Maximum Pressure Range (psi): 95
Minimum Free Flow Rate (gph): 55
Minimum Pressure Range (psi): 60

S5/S6:
Maximum Free Flow Rate (gph): 60
Maximum Pressure Range (psi): 100
Minimum Free Flow Rate (gph): 60
Minimum Pressure Range (psi): 80
