Take them apart and see if there is any rust or scoring in the piston channel(s) or if the caliper is rusted to hell. If you get them from a junkyard it'd be wise to rebuild them either way.

Your best bet besides our estimates on the price of the swap is to make a thread in the 2nd gen wanted section asking what someone will actually sell it for. See if you can get the brake master cylinder as well.

I've had both single pot and 4 pot brakes and the latter are a signifigant upgrade despite what most will say. The brakes fade less quickly, have more grip/bite, and stop the car a lot faster. With some nice HAWK pads and some sticky rubber you'll really see the difference. I'd consider this great swap and worth the downtime. It's not like it'll take longer than a day.

You fail. You can hand in your keys to any mod on the forum.

A proper 5-lug swap will include 4 calipers, 4 rotors/spindles, brake master cylinder, and proportioning valve.

So an S5 N/A (non-gxl) 5 lug setup isn't "proper"

It is if all 4 calipers are included. You should re-read my post. Never said anything about pistons. ;)
