S-AFC question
 

Ok i have an 87 n/a you can check out my sig to see what i'm gonna do to her.
My question is i am considering getting a S-afc for her to get a little more bang for my buck. How would i tune her when i get this? i know it comes with instructions on how to install and whatnot but should i get sombody who's more expirenced to help me with this like sombody from the northstar forum in MN or would it be safe for me to do???


please post anything and everything you'd feel would help me out and any suggestions for getting more power out of my n/a. thanks a ton guys/girls

it is always good to tune when your done everything else you can.. you need to dyno it or get a wideband A/F gauge.. you can see if any dealers have it around there or any preformance shops :) but tune it dont guess or else bing bang boom :)

where could i get the A/F gauge and how would i install it?

the wide band A/F gauges are around $1000. you don't buy them. you just pay to use someone elses while he tunes it for you. you have to find a local dyno or tuner shop.

You could get your own wideband here http://www.fjoinc.com/automotive/. It's under a grand but not by much. ;)

the dyno that i go to doesnt have a wideband A/F but he told me that we could tune it just buy making a run then uping the fuel and see if it makes more or less power throughout the RPM range and just keep adding at points or taking away at points untill there is nothing left to gain good idea or bad??? he says that hes dont it before but not with an RX7 note that this is not your average joe he does know alot about all kinds of cars and he has even written a book on RX7s he does own a 70 something cosmo i didnt get a good look at so im not sure on theexact date but hes not fool and he does know the rotary engine
