S-AFC Base Setting
 

Ok guys, I need some help on what i should set my S-AFC at. I need help with the hi and low throttle settings. My mods are in my sig.

everyone ive talked to has said to get it tuned with dyno and wideband o2... only way to really do it right (unless you have your own wideband)

I don't really have access to a dyno. And I need to get it on the road for daily driving. So anything that will be safe is what i'm looking for. Thanks for the reply though.

well, if you are just looking to protect yourself from detonation, i would just say richen the mixture up, especialy at the rpm's you are making boost at... that should keep you safe, but without getting it on a dyno or a wideband you probably wont get nearly all the power you can out of your car (of course i dont even have a turbo.... so this is all just stuff ive read on the boards... although i do plan to get an safc soon ;) )

Is there anyone else out there with an 87 Turbo 2 running stock primaries with upgraded 720 secondaries with all emissions removed with an SAFC that has been dyno tuned and can share their info??? We have everything done, we just need to plug in the right numbers and off we go.

i remember someone posted their numbers once or twice, preety recently... do a search (but of course its diff for every car)

You seriously have to get it tuned with a wideband. Someone else's settings are not gonna be safe on anyone else's car. And you can get a BAISC idea if you're running rich or lean with the a/f guage you got, but it's not something you should trust completely. You really shouldn't mess with it and have someone strap in a wideband for ya and tune it. you don't even need to do it on a dyno. Just find a performance shop that will tune it with ya. It's the only true safe method. Anything else would be dangerous for your engine.
