RX8 seats in a Gen 2?

Im working on my Gen 2 right now to make it look a little nicer, once Im done with the paint job, I will move to the interior.

I was trying to think of a good way to redo my seats or just get new ones.

I could turn my seats into leather seats at a shop...for around $500-$700 or buy a set of Racing seats for $400 off Ebay...But I love RX-8 seats and since i Dont have $30,000 laying around my house I cant have one.

Last night I was thinking if it would be possible to put RX-8 seats into a Gen 2 RX-7....It might be hard to get ahold of a set but I believe it would look cool and be a unique addition to my car. With the right mounts etc I think the could fit...

Any thoughts, insults or praise? Am I a dork for thinking of that?

Im thinking you should be able to with proper mounting hardware, do it and take pic's i might consider it in the future when i actually get some cash comming in

Shouldn't be hard at all to mount, the hard part is finding the seat's. I for one would love to have some of those seats for my car.

Yeah I love the Design of them, but I bet I would have to order them from a dealer and it would be EXPENSIVE!

probably cost you $3000....

after they come out...

Even if you could find them - Rx8 seats would be BIG BUCKS!

You can always just buy used seats out of another car - and even have them re-upholstered.
Celica seats look really good!
