RX7 T2 stock exhaust HELP!

Stock exhaust on my 30k mile T2 is a mess. Can someone tell me what I should do? The mufflers are fried I was going to replace with a RB cbe , but it looks like the cat and closer to the engine area might need replacement too. I’d like to keep it stock besides a catback for preservation purposes. There is zero rust anywhere besides the exhaust for some reason

Get a DP to replace the precat, add a converter and the RB cat back system.

wouldn’t that just nuke the motor? Without upgrading the fuel pump

Nope, removing the precat won't cause a spike in the boost. I was actually running that for years in the '89 TII.
After I replaced the clutch, left the precat off, replaced with a DP, then rest stock exhaust, no problems.
Still run the same system stock today, DP, OEM cat, stock mufflers, but with the ecu upgrade see 12 lbs.

Really 12 psi? Im guessing that is through the ECU? Im running a OEM JDM DP, NO cat, factory Y and welded on RB mufflers and still at stock boost 7-8psi. Guess the RB mufflers are restrictive!

Yup. Installed a GForce ECU back in 2003, FD pump, and the reason for the Hallman is that the boost control
solenoid would burn out as it was activated entirely too much to raise the boost, and as stated DP along with
the OEM cat and mufflers.
