RTek
I was trying to find out what version of rtek I should be looking for. I checked the rtek forum but not much info on what version comes with what.
In the end I will go full standalone, but I feel that is a ways away as I'm mostly stock and will be for a bit. 1989 S5 TII stock 3in downpipe and exhaust, no cat No A/C, Air Pump, or OMP Walbro 255 I want to run right without misfires or boost issues. I've read that since the OMP is not there I am in limp mode, which is why I was looking for RTEK. What are you guys suggestions |

You, Sir, are a G
Thanks, pretty much answered everything I needed.
Now, some research |
port the wastegate and run the 1.8 at stock boost levels until you can get into the standalone territory. no point spending half as much as a real standalone on the old clunky 2.x Rtek, it was old school even when it was brand new. it's the equivalent of using a flip phone in 2017 to do anything besides make a call, some things might be capable of but you will be smashing your head into the tiny screen after 2 minutes.
