Rotor Stamping location?

I've done a little bit of searching, but im still not totally sure on the acutal location of the weight stamp on the rotor...

is it on the inside of the rotor, as in, the oil gallery?

Or is it stamped in a small letter on the either front or back side of the rotor?

Thanks again

that pictures tells me nothing. if they where from the same motor then why are they saying 2 different things. ?.

where do you rear them on the flywheel side or the pully side of the engine?:Wconfused

Those probably aren't from the same motor, besides, the weight stamps don't have to be exactly the same. The rule of thumb is to stick within two letters of eachother. I've heard there were also several sources (not just one factory) producing the engine parts, so they may appear different aesthetically. I've experienced this every time I've had an engine apart, but that's just me.

Also be careful of a japanese character that looks like an E... the weight stamp is always on the gear side.

To match your rotors you need to know the following:

A and A (the same letter, yes they match)
or A and B (letter next to the other one, yes they match)

but, you CAN'T match an A rotor with a C rotor because it are not the more closed one. This will unbalance your engine.

Combinations:
A +A
A+B
B+B
B+C
C+C
C+D
D+D
