My heat stopped working and I believe the air mix motor is not working properly, either due to a bad logicon or bad motor. My blower motor works at all speeds and the various modes (defrost, vents, etc) still come on. I would be surprised if it were the heater core and I felt the heater core pipe under dash and it's warm. I read here

That I can force the air mix motor door open. Now what is the easiest procedure for this? I got under the dash and I mostly see a white box looking thing near the center, and I can barely see anything else due to the crap under there. What is this lever I have to pull on? Should I feel resistance on it?

I think I was pulling on this blindly and it wouldn't really move much. Do I need to detach something? Is removing the vents down there necessary to get access?

I did this last year, as my logicon does nothing more than controls the fan. So I manually set it at bi-level and full heat.

IIRC, It just pulled over and stayed. But I might of had to disconnect the linkage to force it over, I'm not 100% sure.

Is my diagram pointing to the correct lever? That's the only thing I can [barely] reach without removing anything under the dash.

Disconnect the linkage from the air mix motor to the mix door. Then you can move the mix door by hand. To get to it, you'll probably need to remove the foor vent duct, which is just a few screws. It isn't comfortable to get in there but all you need is a flathead screwdriver and maybe some needlenose pliers. You may also want to rig up some kind of handle since it's hard to manipulate it from the driver's seat. I am leaving it on warm until I figure out what to do with it.

The linkage I'm pointing to isn't on your diagram.

mine is RHD, but for me i just popped the lever out and made a handle from stiff wire
that dangles out of view and it allows me to push or pull to either position

there is a cover by your arrow, and that may come off, once you find the motor, you can just disconnect it, and add a coat hanger so you can reach it from the drivers seat.

my neighbor did this a long time ago, and i think he likes it better
