RHD Conversion
How hard is it to change a LHD to a RHD
and about how much does it cost. |
|
This is one of those "if you have to ask..." type questions. It's very hard and likely fairly expensive even doing your own work.
|
its pretty easy if you have the parts off a front clip.. my friend here on the forum did it him self.. pretty striaght foward.. but he got reffed for it., and has to convert back to lhd....stupid cali..
just depends if you have tools, time and patience for it. |
/\ you cant convert to LHD in Cali??

Plan on delivering mail, or you don't like to be able to see around cars in front of you to pass them safely?

Tell the story :) Really curious now. That seems like a stupid policy... what ever corners were cut going to rhd, will most likely be trimmed going back to left hand drive. What was their reasoning for making him go back? john ny |
What is the whole point of the RHD conversion?

On the bright side, I can now identify many vehicles by their differentials... |

Just curious. Do people in Japan or other countries even do Left Hand Drive conversion just to be different?

Just a suggestion: Why not just buy a JDM FC??? I purchased an 89 TII JDM (RHD) last year and have been driving it (legally) for the past year. Let me know if you need help sourcing one!
|
see tho you live in canada. shits a bit different here in the stats. it usually isnt worth the cost to buy one but rather just make one
|
JDM vehicles cannot be easily registered in the US.
Otherwise the R32-R34 GTR's would be all over the place. |
GD ricers.
|
In Canada you can import/register any car that's at least 15 years old. The only exception is the province of Quebec who are doing a study right now on RHD vehicles and have temporarily banned the registration of JDM cars until the study is complete. Damn government.

If you have the cash you can buy my RHD converted car with lots of JDM rare parts...i want to start a new rotary project...i see you dont live to far from me...if you dont have much money i can just sell the whole car without the JDM stuff on it for a reasonable price.
