reted's parallel fuel rail diagram?
http://fc3s-pro.com/TECH/MODS/FUEL/fpr.htm
Does anyone have this page cached? I am about to buy all of the hose/fittings to do this and want to make sure I am going about it the right way. If not, I'll post my ideas on what hose/fittings to use tonight. BTW I have already checked the Way Back Machine at archive.org. |
you're one lucky man, i just happened to have saved the diagram way back one day when i was bored :D

Are you interested in buying any of those fittings/regulators? Brand new? Heavy, heavy discount. I have most of those parts and just decided not to do it myself. |
check your pm's

This Is the one thing of value, at this particular time, that I needed of RETed's site. I have the write up but now I've got the pic. Kudos Spawn VII!
|
Spawn VII, perhaps you could Inform RETed about the pic so he can reincorporate It back Into his site.
|
hay can i get the write up from you?

So this helps maintain pressure in the fuel system? what other benefits are there to doing this?
|
Sorry for the "stupid" question but I want to learn.
What is the main purpose of such a setup ? |
having a rising rate fuel pressur regulator that you can set the static pressure on. When you start upgrading turbos, you need to do this to get the most consistant fuel flow from your injectors.
|
You gain a far superior fuel pressure regulator. And running the rails in parallel means there should be no drop in the primary fuel rail pressure when the secondary injectors turn on.

Who sells the following:
-6AN to M12 x 1.25 adapter -6AN to M14 x 1.5 adapter |
Does anybody know how much line you need to do this, if you are planning on replacing it all? Also in reading some of this I got very confused, and was hoping someone could set me straight. With this setup you can elliminate the PD without risking harm to the engine correct? Assuming that you have either a rewired fuel pump or an aftermarket one correct. Please let me know where I am wrong and right on all this thank you.

when going parallel and adding all of those an fittings and what not, where do u put them on the rails? on the stock in and out places or do u cut off the ends of the rails and tap them and screw them in there?
|

|
ok that is a custom rail some one had made, but as you can see here, thought he power of MS paint and my 5 sec's of work, i've brought you this master peice pointing out where the different parts of the rail would unbolt.

I've got a S4 TII I guess thats why it looked forigen to me. Are they Alum. like the S4's?
