Restarting a Neglected RX7
Hi all
As a newbie, I'd appreciate some advice... I have an old RX7 Turbo II Cabriolet (1989 I think). When I became a father nearly 5 years ago, I bought a practical car and left my RX7 at my sisters house for safe-keeping. All I asked of her was that she started it regularly... but she couldn't be bother to do that! So, I have an RX7 that has been left to rot for 4 years! Unsurprisingly, it does not start... it tries, but the starter cannot kick the engine into play. I'm not mechanically minded! Now my sister wants me to remove the car. I don't want to scrap it. I'd rather get it running again. That said, I don't have thousands to spend on the car and I'm not sure of the value of a working RX7 Turbo II cabriolet anyway. What can I do to start the car? Is it worth trying to revive it? Any advice would be most welcome. many thanks Matt |
