resistor pack on an s4

i am about to put 2 high imp injectors on a low imp wire harness. only 2. on the 2ndary.
what side of the resistor box handles the 2ndary injectors.

apparently. you cut the 2 wires on the resistor pack that go to those injectors. testing with a multy meter to tell what ones are what. then you splice those 2 wires into the 5th wire in dead center (power that goes in) and enables you to run high imp injectors on a low imp system. is this correct?

Yes..

The FSM shows the five pins in the plug and what injectors they go to.

Fuel section.

But I don't trust that part of the FSM.

I suggest you ohm out the pins from the five pin plug to the ECU's small plug, and the appropriate wire on that small plug. The right wires are shown in the Wiring Schematics of the FSM.

I have been trying to figure out this wiring as well, but nobody seemed to have any ideas in a thread I started a few days ago. I could not find the resistor pack in the online FSM wiring diagram section. I checked pages 50-22 through 50-26. I also do not see it in the Fuel and Emissions section either.

All I see is the fuel pump resistor relay, which is not the same thing, correct? I think the online FSM is for an 88 or something.

Hailers, do you have a hardcopy of an 87 manual with the resistor pack in it? Could you scan the pages if it's not too much to ask?
