I read the threads about changing the tranny fluid. I do not have an air compressior for Icemark's suggestion (I think it was Icemark). Would this work, it is a syphon pump hand pump with tubing?

I thought that I dould drian and then add the new oild via this hand pump, any problems with this plan?

Thanks,
-Max

I'm the one that came up with the air compressor idea...http://www.aaroncake.net/rx-7/transfluid.htm :)

Yes, that hand pump will work fine.

My apologies to Aaron Cake. I knew it was one of the RX-7 masters.

Hey bro. Thanks!

I've been wanting to change my fluid for a while, going to hit this up this weekend...
Do you have a link for the differential fluid?

Thanks again, Aaron!

Oh yeah, that works just fine until you're laying on your back with that PoS on your stomach, you give one good pump and the hose pops off drenching you in ATF (x-fer case on my XJ ;) ) That red lump of crap went the way of the flame. This is the way to do it IFF you don't have a compressor -

Add one drill & 1 beer & go to town.

I tried the air compressor setup but it took forever. Purchased a $6 fluid pump and never looked back.
I HATE the sulfuric smell of gear oil!

Any more info on this? I, too, did the aaroncake method and it worked great, except once when the hose popped off. Tranny fluid in the eyes isn't fun, let me tell you.
