Replaced MOP but ECU not fried?. Replace it anywas regardless?

The story goes " when the MOP goes out it takes out the ECU with it"

OMP can take out the ECU but not the other way around.

Yes. If the OMP takes out the ECU drive circuit, and you replace the OMP with a good one, you'll get a code 20 from the ECU. If the ECU is still good, which from the pics it looks good, the car will just work fine. Just like me and Jackhild posted in your other thread, the ECU will not fry a functioning OMP. |
