Replaced broken logicon fan speed slider and now my blower doesn't work

The fan speed slider for my logicon broke off at the solder joints, so yesterday after soldering on a new slider(that I tested with an ohm meter) from a non working logicon. I reinstalled the logicon and the blower doesn't work now. I've been reading all the posts about blower problems but so far I have found none that deal with my exact scenario i.e. the blower worked perfectly fine until the slider broke and now that there is a new slider it doesn't work. I've checked the fuses but nothing is blown. I checked the breaker but it hasn't been tripped. I'm at a loss on what to do.

Perhaps a faulty solder (cold solder) connection.

So I should check all the solder joints on my logicon?

I would focus on the soldering that you recently did. Are you aware of what causes a cold solder?
