To replace TPS or not to replace tps...

That is the question.

I finnaly set the tps with a Dimm and got the resistence to 1000K

However, the screw that's in the middle has a spring that winds around it to adjust the tps...This spring is all the way depressed now and while it does currently idle at 750-800 with a little fluctuation, could the tps still be bad?

Sure.

Check the TPS itself first, I adjusted mine correctly and it turned out that the TPS was bad. Check the TPS itself with the DMM and watch the readings, depress the plunger with your finger while you are taking the reading, you want it to make a smooth transition, if the number jumps around up and down a lot or something, then replace the TPS.

let me know if you need a tps, email me @ swivel@sevatech.com

I have a used one and a brand new one both for sale. Normally I'd point you towards my partsbin site but pengaru.com is down thanks to qwest, will be back up soon.
