removing t2 exhaust manifold

Has anybody taken their exhaust manifold on their s4 t2?
does anybody know where to start ?
There is like no way to take it off

take off intake, take off DP, Take off oil lines and water lines, unbolt manifold from engine with turbo attached.

I took off the tubo first, alittle easier, on another note how do you mremove the flapper door? dom you have to cut it off?

You don't need to take the whole intake off, just the ACV. I did anyway.

Wobble-sockets, shorty combination wrenches, whatever it takes. A small-boned and/or tiny-handed friend?

It's a real booger to get to some of those bolts and I've heard since I did mine that it's easier to remove the turbo & mani as one. Makes sense seeing as how tough the turbo to mani nuts were.

Easier said than done, but patience really IS a virtue.

i meant TID :) not entire intake (i dont have ACV) :)

Hit the little external lever with a large hammer a few times. It will break right off.

What is the flapper door? what does it do? and why would you want to cut it off?
Just curious

The flapper door is a little valve that actuates the twin scroll system. It becomes a restriction when you start to upgrade. Do a search for "twin scroll" for more information, and see the instructions on ReTED's website.
