Removing fuel pressure regulator (FPR)

How does the S4 TII FPR come off the fuel rail? Does the FPR unscrew from the nut, or does the nut unscrew from the rail? Its stuck mad tight and I don't want to break the rail cause its a long hollow aluminum tube and I lift weight. And yes, I sprayed it with WD-40 and checked the FSM. It only says remove vac line, remove fuel line, remove FPR. Doesn't show exactly where to remove it from.

same like shifter knob, nut is there like counter....first get loose nut, then screw out whole thing

so would that mean you actually have to "tighten" the nut?

Post a pic, my menory fails me. i think the "nut" is part of the regulator and therefore should be removed from the rail. Hold the rail with a vise (or bicep) and put a wrench on the "nut".

Unscrew nut first as far as it goes then unscrew fpr from rail. I just did mine its easy.

then if i was to do an aftermarket FPR where would i get a fitting to go on there to put a line to go to my FPR...since it wont fit in the stock spot...
