Removing cruise control

My cruise control has never worked nor do I ever use it. What do I have to do to properly remove it and not effect anything else about my car?

I would leave it alone...it's not bothering anything now and I would not worry about it.

Cruise contols can sometimes a pain in the but, with a whole swack load of vacum hoses going everywhere and diaframs needing to replaced and bypassed, and stuff. easiest, i'de have to agree with harley71105 just leave it, and forgot it is there.

Remove the clip on the cable, and pull it back and out, then pull the throttle open, and remove the cable, then disconnect the vacuum line (if it's a n/a) and plug it, then unbolt the actuator and disconnect the wire and remove. Tada, done! You could also remove the switch if you really wanted, but you'd need to fabricate a cover of sorts to fill the hole.
